These are the hands
This song, based on Michael Rosen's poem These Are The Hands, sung by the Commoners Choir celebrates the people who do the (often unrewarded) everyday jobs and services that benefit us all, especially during lockdown. Watch it here
Written in response to the weekly Thursday evening's 'clapping for the NHS', the song was recorded in choir members’ homes on phones and laptops before the voices were digitally brought together. Another celebration - in early June Michael Rosen took his first steps to recovery in a hospital in north London after 47 days in intensive care with Covid-19.
