Royston Choral Society (RCS) is a friendly, unauditioned choir of around 70 singers from a wide range of backgrounds and singing abilities united by enjoying singing together to produce memorable concerts.

Our most recent concert was a performance of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem. Held at Haileybury College, it was in collaboration with the college choirs and Hertfordshire Philharmonia. Here is a photo of the performers:

Some recordings from recent concerts including the War Requiem are here

Coming up we will be performing as follows:

Saturday 22nd December 7.30pm A Ceremony of Carols
Please note that following the dreadful fire at Royston Parish Church on December 9th this concert will now take place at THE MERIDIAN SCHOOL in Royston. All other details are unchanged.

Our regular Christmas concert this year will feature Britten's Ceremony of Carols, as well as other familiar and less-familiar carols, including some with audience participation. With mulled wine and mince pies, this is a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season. Tickets can be bought online here

Saturday 6th April Bach St John Passion

Royston Choral Society marks the start of Passiontide in 2019 with a performance of Bach's St John Passion. Performed in the original German, this piece dramatically tells the story of Christ's Passion.

RCS rehearses on Tuesday evenings 7.45- 9.45 in Royston Parish Church and performs around four times a year in Royston and surrounding villages. New singers are welcome to join RCS by coming along to an open rehearsal.
